CoolKit, the UK’s leading specialist in temperature-controlled light commercial vehicles (LCVs), has been appointed as the sole UK distributor for Austrian refrigeration innovator pbx. Unveiled at the Cold Chain Hub by TCS&D, the collaboration centers around pbx’s advanced ecos M24 refrigeration unit, showcased in the first Ford E-Transit Custom conversion. Designed specifically for electric LCVs, pbx units offer unmatched benefits in weight, energy efficiency, and eco-friendly performance, marking a significant step forward in refrigerated transportation.

  • Lightweight Design: At only 39kg, pbx units are up to 50% lighter than traditional systems, offering a crucial payload advantage for electric fleets.
  • Plug-and-Play Installation: The compact units can be installed in under three hours, minimizing setup time.
  • Eco-Friendly Refrigerant: pbx systems use R290, an organic refrigerant with a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 3, drastically lower than conventional refrigerants like R452a (GWP of 1,945).
