Emergent Cold Latam Joins the “The Move to -15°C”

The cold chain is set for a transformative shift with a new proposal to change storage standards for frozen food, aiming to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions significantly. Known as “The Move to -15°C,” this initiative advocates for raising the standard storage temperature from -18°C to -15°C, offering substantial benefits for both the industry and the environment.

Emergent Cold Latam has joined this movement in Latin America, underscoring its commitment to global sustainability and food safety. The company believes that this shift is not only a crucial evolution for the cold chain sector but also a strategic change that will enhance logistics efficiency and reduce costs.

As interest in the movement grows, it is expected that more companies will incorporate this practice into their operations, marking a significant advancement for the industry.

“The Move to -15°C” is poised to globally transform the frozen food industry, promoting operational efficiency and cost savings while aligning with technological advancements in the supply chain. This movement reduces environmental impact and brings economic advantages to the frozen food sector, signaling a progressive transition toward a more sustainable and profitable future.
