Croatia’s first distribution centre for fruit and vegetables worth 14.6 million euro opened near Osijek, eastern Croatia, the Osijek-Baranja county government said.
The centre covers 8,182 square metres and will provide local agri producers with infrastructure and conditions to store, sort, pack and sell their produce. The overall refrigeration capacity of the centre is 3,228 tonnes distributed in 29 cooling chambers.
The county invested 4.6 million euro in the project and 10 million euro has been provided by grants from Croatia’s EU-backed national recovery and resilience plan (RRP).
