UK refrigerated transport solutions provider, Courier Express Refrigerated Transport Ltd, has significantly expanded its fleet after investing £350,000 in eight state-of-the-art vehicles.
The new 3.5t dual temperature vehicles will allow the flexibility to make both frozen and chilled deliveries, and will enable the award-winning company to improve its courier operations, while at the same time expanding further into the south of England.
All vehicles will be fitted with advanced on board equipment including SmartCam dashboard cameras and temperature recording devices.
The SmartCams – which will be combined with the FleetTracker vehicle tracking system already in use by Courier Express Ltd – will not only allow the refrigerated courier to reduce insurance premiums and operational costs, but also improve driver behaviour across its fleet.
John Lee, managing director of Courier Express, said: “This investment represents a significant step forward for Courier Express Ltd. The new vehicles will enable us to establish our position as market leaders in a variety of sectors within the industry of temperature controlled transportation.”
Courier Express Ltd, which has been established for more than 14 years, offers services such as foodservice, samples, pharmaceutical and emergency palletised deliveries.
