From Thursday, the 11th, to Friday, the 12th, ASERCOM convened in Brussels for its Annual Convention 2018. A celebratory dinner on Thursday night included speeches from Steven Yurek, CEO of AHRI, and Alexander Rowlatt from Grayling as well as the ASERCOM award for outstanding performance. The awardees this year were John Gibson and Christian Ellwein, co-conveners of the Working Group Inverter & Controls & Communications.
On Friday ASERCOM’s outgoing President Claude Blanc opened the day of presentations on topics ranging from the upcoming new certification scheme for condensing units to cyber security.
Meanwhile Marco Masini hosted the second installment of ASERCOM’s round table discussion that brought together different industry perspectives on points such as prices of refrigerants and education for contractors.
To close out the event, Rainer Grosse-Kracht, ASERCOM’s newly confirmed chairman of the board, gave a rousing speech on the association’s future and its intent to be even more prominent when it comes to guiding the industry.
