Barry Trewhitt Announced as New HEVAC President

Barry Trewhitt has taken over as President of HEVAC, succeeding Alan Macklin of Alan Macklin Associates. Previously, Barry served as Vice-President of HEVAC since May 2023 and chaired the FETA Fan Coil Group since June 2017.

HEVAC, as the representative voice of HVAC equipment suppliers, focuses on promoting energy efficiency, building safety, and indoor air quality, advocating for the interests of its member companies.

With a robust background in ventilation, Barry has been with Advanced Air (UK) Ltd for eight years, where he initially worked as a Senior Application Engineer and is currently the Product Development Manager. His career has been marked by significant contributions to product design, development, sound attenuation, and testing in fire, acoustics, and laboratories. At Advanced Air, Barry expanded the variable air volume and fan coil product ranges and spearheaded the development of underfloor fan boxes.

Barry’s extensive practical experience in ventilation will be pivotal in his new role at HEVAC.
