CAREL Enhances Energy Efficiency for Mega Image with Total-Store Solution

CAREL, alongside Technoelectric, has successfully assisted Mega Image in implementing the Total-Store system to optimize energy usage across 973 stores in Romania. This innovative system led to a notable 14% reduction in energy consumption.

Total-Store combines refrigeration, HVAC, and lighting technologies to allow for remote, centralised management of energy in both new and existing stores. An evaluation of several stores revealed a decrease in CO2 emissions by 6.39 kilotons, translating to annual savings of approximately €5.3 million.

As part of the Ahold Delhaize group, Mega Image selected CAREL for delivering a scalable, flexible solution that offers real-time monitoring and energy optimisation. Total-Store not only minimizes energy use but also provides features like automatic HACCP reporting and remote diagnostics, streamlining resource management and reducing on-site intervention needs.
