Cubic Sensor Achieve UL & IEC Certification for Gas Leak Detectors

Cubic Sensor Achieve UL & IEC Certification for Gas Leak Detectors

Cubic Sensor & Instrument Co., Ltd, in partnership with Innovaer Technologies, proudly announces that its Dual Channel NDIR models AM4205, AM4203, and AM4203DR, designed for A2L & A3L refrigeration gas leak detection, have received certification under UL 60335-2-40 and IEC 60335-2-40 standards. These certifications cover the detection of R32, R454B, and R290 refrigerants in HVAC/R applications.

This significant milestone underscores the commitment of both companies to support the HVAC/R industry as it transitions to refrigerant blends with lower Global Warming Potential (GWP). The recognition by UL and IEC ensures that industry partners can streamline the design and manufacturing processes for the newly mandated A2L & A3L leak detection systems, enhancing efficiency and compliance.

Tony Nowak, President of Innovaer Technologies, expressed his enthusiasm for this achievement, stating, "UL and IEC certification for these products is a major accomplishment for Innovaer Technologies and Cubic Sensor and Instrument. It signifies our commitment to safety standards, regulatory compliance, and providing our customers with robust and reliable sensing systems. These certifications will facilitate the production processes already established to support our customers' supply chain requirements."

Product Portfolio Summary:

  • Output Options: MODBUS RTU or Analog Output for real-time Lower Flammable Limit (LFL) measurement.
  • Relay Outputs: SPST and DPDT Relay Output, reducing the need for an external mitigation board.
  • Long Lifetime: Expected operational life of over 15 years.
  • Quick Response: Fast response time for timely leak detection.
  • High Accuracy: NDIR sensing engine ensures precise measurements.
  • Maintenance-Free: Internal reference channel and self-compensation eliminate the need for calibration.
  • Environmental Compensation: Multi-point temperature and humidity compensation.
  • Durability: Immunity to poisoning, ensuring reliability.
  • Selectivity: Specifically targets the gas being measured.
  • Production Capacity: Capable of supporting the delivery of over 4 million sensors annually.

This achievement marks a pivotal step in the ongoing efforts to innovate and improve safety in the HVAC/R industry, providing enhanced reliability and efficiency for customers worldwide.
