Danfoss Turbocor to establish Configuration & Service Center in Nordborg
Danfoss Turbocor is excited to announce that it will establish a new Configuration & Service Center at the Danfoss headquarters in Nordborg, Denmark in 2023, to support full production of Turbocor oil-free compressors for European customers there by 2026. The move will mean stronger and faster support for Danfoss’ European customers.

The new center will handle repairs and final-stage assembly, configuring the compressors based on customer requirements, and begin to establish the foundation for full production in Denmark in the future.

“We are experiencing a booming demand for our Turbocor products,” says Ricardo Schneider, President of Danfoss Turbocor Compressors. “Establishing the Turbocor Center in Nordborg is a strong step towards offering increased support for our European customers, as well as reducing the carbon footprint of our products in line with our ESG goals. Furthermore, we are excited to bring jobs back to our headquarters where Danfoss started in the 1930s.”

Localizing this process offers several benefits for Danfoss customers, including faster service and reduced lead times.

Lars Grewe, Operations Manager for Turbocor Compressors Europe/Middle East also highlights how localization will improve Danfoss’ customer interactions. “This move will allow us to form an even closer connection with our customers, where we can be even more flexible in fulfilling their customization requirements.”

There are logistic and environmental advantages as well. “By locating our service center in Nordborg, we make it easier to plan deliveries with road transport in Europe,” Lars Grewe says and continues, “We also save overseas transport. Previously we would have to send products back and forth between Europe and Florida when they needed to be repaired. By centralizing configuration, service and, eventually, production in one location, we reduce our transport-related CO2 emissions.”

Finally, with the relocation, Danfoss Turbocor is well-positioned to service the needs of a growing market. “We are on a journey to establish an increased regional footprint for Turbocor here in Europe. Our new center will enable us to keep pace with the tremendous growth in the compressor market and meet the needs of new and existing customers,” Ricardo Schneider concludes.
