Eurovent Certification continues to build partnerships with leading organizations in the HVAC sector, maintaining a long-term collaboration with REHVA, the Federation of European Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Associations. This partnership supports initiatives to inspire the next generation of engineers and to educate the industry on creating healthy, energy-efficient, and sustainable indoor environments.
Founded in 1963, REHVA is an umbrella organization representing over 120,000 HVAC designers, building services engineers, technicians, and experts across 26 European countries. REHVA provides a platform for professional networking and knowledge exchange, advancing health, comfort, and energy efficiency in buildings and communities. The organization contributes to technical development, follows EU policy, and advocates for its members at a global level.
Eurovent Certification is the sole sponsor of REHVA’s student awards, which honor outstanding HVAC students across Europe. Each year, member associations nominate candidates based on national competitions, with entries derived from Bachelor’s or Master’s theses in HVAC-related topics.
The competition is held during REHVA’s Annual Meetings, offering participants a platform to showcase their expertise. Winners receive a trophy engraved with their names, symbolizing their achievements since the award's inception in 2005.
In 2016, REHVA, in collaboration with six global partners, launched the HVAC World Student Competition to extend participation worldwide. Held every three years during the CLIMA World Congress, the competition selects candidates from partner regions, including the USA, China, India, South Korea, South America, and Japan. The European representative is chosen through the REHVA Student Competition.
Eurovent Certification actively participates in REHVA seminars and technical events, including co-organized sessions such as the "Engineering towards Net Zero" seminar with ISHRAE at Acrex India. The organization also contributes to the REHVA Journal, sharing practical and technical insights with industry professionals.
The collaboration between Eurovent Certification and REHVA exemplifies the benefits of industry partnerships, from supporting emerging talent to disseminating critical knowledge. Eurovent Certification values its relationship with REHVA and anticipates continued cooperation to drive advancements in the HVAC industry.
