Eurovent Certification supports heat pump sector as AFPAC member in France

Eurovent Certification is reinforcing its commitment to sustainable heating by actively participating in the French Association for Heat Pumps (AFPAC). As an Active Member, the organisation contributes to the development of France’s heat pump sector through collaboration with industry stakeholders.

Founded in 2002, AFPAC brings together manufacturers, installers, energy experts, and certification bodies to promote heat pump technology as a key renewable energy solution. The association supports public policy development, promotes energy efficiency, and provides technical guidance and training.

As part of its role, Eurovent Certification takes part in several AFPAC working groups, including commissions for communication, residential, and tertiary sectors. The organisation also engages with French authorities such as ADEME and CSTB, attends technical events, and supports initiatives aimed at expanding heat pump adoption in line with national and EU climate goals.

On 1 April 2025, Eurovent Certification participated in the CAP Morning event in Paris, which focused on “Tomorrow's skills for the decarbonisation of buildings”. The team highlighted the role of certification in ensuring heat pump performance and contributing to decarbonisation targets.
