Eurovent reviews regulatory and strategic priorities at 69th Annual Meeting

Eurovent concluded its 69th Annual Meeting, gathering representatives from over 25 countries to review regulatory developments, technological innovation, and strategic priorities for the HVACR industry.

The meeting highlighted Eurovent’s ongoing advocacy efforts in Brussels, including updates on the EU Green Deal, F-Gas Regulation, and initiatives concerning energy efficiency and digitalisation in building systems. Members reaffirmed Eurovent’s role as a representative body for the HVACR sector, aiming to support policy outcomes that are technically sound, market-relevant, and sustainable.

Key agenda items included the presentation of the Eurovent 2024-2025 Annual Report and expert-led discussions during the Policy Hour. Topics addressed included lifecycle GWP in buildings, Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs), the future of refrigerants, Indoor Environmental Quality under the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), and market surveillance. Contributions were made by representatives from the European Commission, European Environment Agency, Eurovent Market Intelligence, and the European Chemical Industry Council.

Eurovent President Raul Corredera Haener stated: “While we have made meaningful progress in recent years, we must continue to further improve and develop our association. My goal is clear: to position Eurovent as the leading European HVACR association with global recognition.”

Francesco Scuderi, Eurovent Secretary General, added: “The road ahead presents real challenges, but with unity, innovation, and shared determination, I am confident that we are ready to turn those challenges into opportunities for growth and progress.”
