Hoshizaki Corporation announced on June 13, 2025, that it will acquire U.S.-based Structural Concepts Corporation (SC) through its wholly owned subsidiary Hoshizaki USA Holdings, Inc. (HAHD). The acquisition is scheduled to close by the end of July 2025, pending regulatory approvals and customary conditions.
SC, headquartered in Norton Shores, Michigan, manufactures and sells food display cases, including temperature-controlled merchandisers, primarily in the U.S. market. The company serves supermarkets, convenience stores, cafes, and restaurants. Hoshizaki cited SC's strong development capabilities, engineering, profitability, and growth as key reasons for the acquisition.
The acquisition value is $375 million USD (approx. 54,000 million JPY). Hoshizaki stated the transaction will enhance its refrigeration product lineup and broaden its customer base in the U.S. It also aims to create operational synergies, including shared procurement and after-sales parts support.
