Hussmann's Krack Monoblock Wins Silver for Innovation

The Krack Monoblock from Hussmann has clinched the Silver Medal in the C-Store Decisions Hot New Products Contest. This innovative solution, combining a condensing unit and evaporator, uses R-290 refrigerant and meets AIM regulations with air- and water-cooled configurations.

Precharged with propane, the self-contained Monoblock eliminates the need for refrigerant piping. It features variable speed compressors, electronically commutated fan motors, and hot gas defrost technology, ensuring efficiency and reliability.

This energy-efficient solution can reduce refrigerant charge by up to 95% compared to traditional hydrofluorocarbons. It also contributes to a 6% reduction in annual carbon dioxide emissions versus standard units.

Ideal for C-Stores needing medium and low-temperature solutions, the Monoblock is quick to install, taking only two to three hours. As a retrofit option, it replaces existing rooftop units and evaporators seamlessly, attaching directly to walk-ins without cranes, thus saving time and money.
