Ingersoll Rand acquires Italian compressor companies TMIC and Adicomp

Ingersoll Rand Inc. has acquired Termomeccanica Industrial Compressors S.p.A. (TMIC) and its subsidiary Adicomp S.p.A. for approximately €160 million (around USD 172 million). The acquisition strengthens Ingersoll Rand’s capabilities in air and gas compressors, particularly in the renewable natural gas (RNG) sector.

TMIC specializes in the design and production of air and gas compressors, leveraging over a century of industry experience. Its subsidiary, Adicomp, provides engineered-to-order solutions tailored for RNG applications. Both companies are based in Italy and have expanded operations into North America, Brazil, and India.

The acquired businesses will be integrated into Ingersoll Rand’s Industrial Technologies and Services (IT&S) segment. The transaction enhances Ingersoll Rand’s presence in RNG gas-end technologies and compressor packaging.

“TMIC/Adicomp are leading businesses in their respective industries, and today we welcome them to Ingersoll Rand,” said Vicente Reynal, chairman and chief executive officer of Ingersoll Rand. “These companies strengthen our core capabilities and broaden our service offerings, enabling us to deliver greater value to our customers while advancing our long-term growth strategy for shareholders.”
