In May 2023, Kaltra delivered its first Ultracompact-V II chillers, recently upgraded for higher operating efficiency with new control software, twin-slab condenser coils, and high-efficiency packages (optional). These improvements aimed at increasing both cooling capacity and seasonal energy efficiency by 10% and 15%, respectively, compared to the previous generation of Ultracompact-V chillers.
The operating envelope of Ultracompact-V II chillers enables them to run in the ambient temperature range from -25°C to +55°C and, due to corrosion protection of sensitive components, including condenser coils, to withstand aggressive atmospheres experienced in coastal areas or industrial zones. These features were decisive for the customer, along with superior opportunities for energy savings and ease of maintenance.
Ultracompact-V II chillers will be installed and commissioned by one of Kaltra’s partners in the EMEA region in July 2023.
