Modine has announced an investment of more than $38 million to expand its manufacturing capacity for data center chillers at one of its facilities in Grenada, Mississippi. The investment, scheduled through the end of 2028, is expected to create over 450 jobs.
The project involves repurposing the facility to serve hyperscale and co-location data center customers. It includes building upgrades, expanded production of Airedale by Modine chillers, and enhancements to testing facilities. Chiller production is expected to begin later this summer.
Modine operates two sites in Grenada. The upgraded facility will increase testing capabilities in conjunction with Modine’s Rockbridge, Virginia location. Together, they will strengthen the company’s U.S.-based product development and testing for data center cooling technologies.
“We are excited how our Grenada investment adds to our global manufacturing footprint for Airedale by Modine data center cooling solutions,” said Eric McGinnis, President, Climate Solutions at Modine.
The company also supports global data center customers from facilities in Canada, Spain, the UK, and an upcoming site in India.
