Swedish heat pump manufacturer Qvantum is introducing a new production model by utilizing a former refrigerator factory for large-scale heat pump manufacturing. The company’s approach integrates high-volume white goods production techniques with a modular heat pump platform, aiming to enhance efficiency and quality.
By adopting approximately 80% of the production technology used in refrigerator manufacturing, Qvantum streamlines its production process. The acquisition of Electrolux’s former refrigerator factory provides the necessary infrastructure to scale operations while maintaining precision.
– This innovative approach allows us to meet the growing demand for energy-efficient heating solutions while maintaining our commitment to sustainability, said Fredrik Rosenqvist, CEO at Qvantum. We are excited to enter this new phase of production, which will enable us to provide high-quality products to a broader audience.
The combination of modular design and cost-effective manufacturing is expected to set a new industry standard. Qvantum’s initiative aims to support the transition to sustainable heating solutions while improving production scalability.
