Safe Monitoring Group AB has acquired 100% of the shares in ExOxTox Gasdetectie B.V., a Netherlands-based company specializing in gas detection systems and related services. The transaction was completed in August 2025.
The acquisition supports Safe Monitoring Group’s strategy to expand its footprint in Europe and strengthen its sales and service network. Ex-Ox-Tox, founded in 1995 and located in Nieuw-Vennep, provides system design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance services for industrial, laboratory, and environmental gas detection applications.
Following the acquisition, Ex-Ox-Tox will collaborate with other companies within Safe Monitoring Group, including IGD, SAMON, CPC, Bieler+Lang, and Schick Gaswarnanlagen, to enhance capabilities in sales, service, marketing, and technical support.
René van Maris, owner and managing director of Ex-Ox-Tox, will remain in his leadership position to support continuity and regional growth efforts.
“I am delighted to welcome Ex-Ox-Tox to Safe Monitoring Group,” said Debbie Airey, Chief Commercial Officer of Safe Monitoring Group. “Their technical expertise, commitment to service, and trusted customer relationships align perfectly with our mission.”
“Becoming part of Safe Monitoring Group represents an exciting new chapter for Ex-Ox-Tox,” said René van Maris. “We share the same dedication to reliability, safety, and customer focus.”
