HT Materials Science, known for its energy-efficient nanofluid solutions, has earned the 2024 District Cooling Initiative of the Year - UAE award at the Asian Power Awards. This accolade recognizes its partnership with district cooling leader Tabreed in a successful pilot project in Abu Dhabi.
The project showcased the use of HTMS's Maxwell nanofluid additive in Tabreed's chilled water loop, achieving a 13.5% increase in cooling system efficiency. Maxwell, composed of sub-micron aluminum oxide particles, enhances heat transfer in HVAC systems without requiring capital expenditure or equipment changes, leading to improved efficiency and reduced energy use.
This achievement underscores HTMS's commitment to advancing sustainable cooling technologies globally and supporting environmental goals. The Asian Power Awards celebrate pioneering projects within the power and energy sectors.
