Viessmann Supports GdW's Decarbonization Path with New Framework Agreement
Viessmann Deutschland GmbH has announced a significant collaboration with the Federal Association of German Housing and Real Estate Companies (GdW) to aid the decarbonization efforts of the 3,000 housing and real estate companies organized within the GdW. This initiative follows the enactment of the Building Energy Act (Gebäude-Energie-Gesetz, GEG) on January 1, 2024.

A framework agreement was signed between Ingeborg Esser, Managing Director of GdW, and Dr. Frank Voßloh, Managing Director of Viessmann Deutschland GmbH, at Real Estate Arena 2024. This northern German trade fair for housing, construction, and project planning was held at Messe Hannover from June 5-6, 2024. The agreement aims to provide GdW members with preferential conditions for installing heat pumps and hybrid systems from Viessmann's integrated solution offerings.

Of particular interest is Viessmann's latest generation of heat pumps from the Vitocal 250-A and Vitocal 150-A series, which use the natural refrigerant R290 (propane). The new Vitocal 250-A PRO air/water heat pump, boasting a heat output of around 40 kilowatts and a flow temperature of up to 70 degrees Celsius, garnered significant attention at the trade fair. Visitors praised the appliance for its performance data, recognizing it as a vital solution for the housing industry's urgent needs.
