ENGIE Refrigeration, a leader in sustainable refrigeration and heating solutions from Lindau, Germany, will be expanding its product lineup in Spring 2025 with the AMONUM Air chiller series. The new series, introduced at Chillventa 2024, has been designed to meet modern demands for efficiency and eco-friendliness, featuring natural ammonia (R-717) as a refrigerant along with an integrated Green Heat Recovery (GHR) system for simultaneous cooling and heat recovery.
The AMONUM Air series, which is air-cooled and "made in Germany," will be available in four models with power capacities from 400 to 1,500 kilowatts, suitable for outlet temperatures between -15 °C and +15 °C. This new chiller line incorporates cutting-edge control technologies, such as EER Auto Control, and is based on the well-established QUANTUM Air technology from ENGIE. Ammonia, as the refrigerant, offers zero ozone depletion and zero global warming potential, along with high efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Additional options include GHR and high-temperature GHR, which allows for simultaneous waste heat usage at two temperature levels and within two separate hydraulic circuits. This capability makes AMONUM Air ideal for diverse applications, from manufacturing to the food industry and building services.
Jochen Hornung, CEO of ENGIE Refrigeration, noted, "AMONUM Air addresses both current and future needs in the heating and cooling sectors, supporting our commitment to guiding customers toward climate neutrality with advanced technology and operational efficiency."
With the AMONUM Air series, ENGIE aims to provide sustainable and efficient solutions aligned with evolving industry standards for environmentally responsible cooling and heating.
