technotrans Unveils Innovative Twin Concept Cooling Device
technotrans has launched a groundbreaking modular cooling device for laboratories. The system's unique master-slave configuration allows users to expand its cooling capacity by adding modules. The base module, or Master, delivers a cooling capacity of 1,700 watts, which can be doubled to 3,400 watts with an extension module, or Slave. The device operates with R290 (propane) as the refrigerant, each module containing under 100 grams, enabling unrestricted air transport. Serial production is set to commence in October 2024.

“With our innovative modular concept, we are demonstrating the technical possibilities in terms of performance, energy efficiency, and future viability,” states Jan Kröger, Head of Division Healthcare & Analytics and Managing Director of technotrans systems GmbH. The device is compliant with upcoming F-Gas and AIM Act regulations, and its use of propane ensures its future viability.

The modular design offers easy setup with just two hoses and a supply plug required. The system automatically identifies connected modules, simplifying the commissioning to mere minutes. The technotrans ZKS-5 controller ensures precise temperature management and offers a control accuracy of 0.1 Kelvin.

This state-of-the-art device supports various communication interfaces, enhancing usability. It is equipped with a sealed pump for optimal cooling water flow and is designed with variable-speed drive motors for energy efficiency. Mounted on wheels, the cooler offers flexibility in laboratory settings.

Kröger emphasizes, “With this solution, we once again underscore our position as an innovation leader in compact laboratory coolers.”
