Tefcold has launched updated versions of its TM and TM-G absorption minibars, enhancing their energy efficiency while maintaining silent operation. The new models are now available on the company’s web shop, with previous versions being phased out.
Product Overview
The TM series, featuring solid doors, retains its external design but benefits from internal upgrades aimed at reducing power consumption. The minibars are available in three sizes and feature a reversible door, flat integrated evaporator, LED interior lighting, and locking capability. They operate with zero noise (0 dB(A)) and use between 0.52 and 0.53 kWh per 24 hours.
The TM-G range, available in two sizes, shows visible changes. It now includes a triple-glazed glass door, which not only reduces energy use but also decreases the cabinet’s external depth. Internal modifications include redesigned cooling plates, with variations between the TM33G-1 and TM44G-1 models. These units consume approximately 0.63 kWh per 24 hours and also operate silently.
Market Context
Both ranges continue to use absorption cooling systems, a common choice in the hospitality sector due to their quiet operation and low maintenance. The enhancements align with increasing demand for energy-efficient solutions in hotel and accommodation environments.
“We have been working on an even more energy-efficient version of our absorption operated minibars and we are happy to tell that the entire range of TM and TM-G minibars have now been updated,” the company stated in its announcement.
