AEFYT companies analyze the structural changes in the cold sector at Tecnofrío 2020

Tecnofrío 2020 (September 30 / October 1) addresses a special digital and reduced edition, with four plenary sessions, in which the essentiality of the cold sector and its contribution to the ecological transition will be some of the main topics . The associates of AEFYT, the Association of Cold Companies and their Technologies , are key players in the round tables on cold and society, energy efficiency and new techniques, with a total of eight speakers from leading companies in the sector. In addition, 8 of the 9 sponsors that make this Congress possible are members of AEFYT.

AEFYT, as a reference organization for cold in Spain, is part of the Organizing Committee of Tecnofrío that, in addition to highlighting the role of cold in society and in industry, has considered it important to highlight the measures focused on energy efficiency that, as stated affirms in the presentation of the Congress, "will have a very important impact on a structural change in the sector . In addition, AEFYT has two great cold experts on the Congress Scientific Committee, such as Federico García Ruiz, president of the AEFYT Technical Committee, and Manuel Lamúa, manager of the Association .

The situation caused by the pandemic will cause model changes in all economic sectors, including refrigeration. The companies present at Tecnofrío 2020 will analyze these aspects from the point of view of the essentiality of the cold and from the awareness that structural change must come hand in hand with the protection of the environment . Under this common thread, the interventions will also analyze the advances in logistics and refrigerated transport, as well as refrigerants and new techniques from an innovative approach related to the use of cold in different sectors.

“The pandemic has forced the organization of Tecnofrío 2020 to adapt to the new circumstances. This new meeting of the sector was necessary to show the essentiality of it; We have also wanted to cast a positive look towards the future, showing the technical and structural advances that are already clear and that can place the cold at the forefront of recovery ”, said Roberto Solsona, president of AEFYT and representative of the Association in the Organizing Committee of Tecnofrío.
