Agroprodmash 2020 Post Show Report

Agroprodmash 2020 is a number one trade show in the food processing industry in Russia. The anniversary edition presented the current key trends of the food processing industry. The most important ones are automation, robotization, and digitalization. Recently, the requirements for food industry safety have increased significantly.Agroprodmash 2020 displayed the latest robotic solutions for packaging and logistics, including the concept of unattended production, as well as equipment and tools for sanitation and hygiene of food enterprises. Another important trend is natural ingredients.

Types of products on display: equipment and technologies for all steps of food production from production of raw materials and ingredients to production of finished goods, their packaging, quality control, cooling, storage and logistics solutions


Show highlights

The Italy national pavilion, organised by  ICE/ITA, presented two professional associations ANIMA (the Federation of Italian Associations of Mechanical and Engineering Industries) and UCIMA (the Italian Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Association), and 20 companies. 

The Germany national pavilion presented 23 companies which showed equipment for meat, poultry and fish processing, confectionery and bakery, heat treatment, cutting, packaging, and storage, etc.   

Russian national group stands and pavilions brought together 51 companies in total from the Republic of Tatarstan, the Altai, Krasnodar and Stavropol Krais, and the Kaluga, Moscow, Samara, Tver, Vladimir and Voronezh Oblasts. Exhibitors showed products and developments for meat processing, dairy, confectionary and bakery industries, as well as packaging and refrigeration equipment, solutions for general food technology, logistics and waste processing.Companies from the Belgorod, Kaliningrad, Kursk, Rostov, Saratov and Tula Oblasts took part in the exhibition thanks to the assistance and financial support of their regional authorities. 

Major machinery and equipment manufacturers from Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Poland and Russia showed their products at APM MeatTech, APM PoultryTech and APM Ingredients. 

APM Packaging welcomed companies from Belarus, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Russia, Switzerland and Turkey. They demonstrated packaging equipment and materials, packaging automation and robotics as well as machinery that can be integrated into automated lines. 

APM Bakery and APM SweetTech showcased equipment from Germany, Italy, Russia and Turkey. 

APM FruitMash demonstrated products of companies from Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Russia and Ukraine. 

Interesting solutions were demonstrated at APM DairyTech, APM Bottling and APM DrinkMash. 

APM Food Hygiene showcased advanced equipment and technologies for safe and eco-friendly food processing. 

APM Automation showed solutions which would be the future of food production. 

The counselling centres for ingredients, refrigeration technology and confectionery were open on all exhibition days. 

The Employment Centregave information about current job offers of exhibiting companies, posted CVs, and offered professional career development consultations.


Event programme

The key topics of 2020 were digital technologies, robotics for food processing, innovative technologies for the meat, dairy and confectionery industries, fruit and vegetable processing, lean manufacturing, and safe working environment.

The exhibition has become a venue for many important meetings of professional unions and associations, which addressed a wide range of issues related to modernization of food production to promote the further development of the food and food processing industry. Representatives of Russia’s leading research institutes told about their latest developments.

The traditional competition of meat boners was a great success.
