Frascold is exhibiting solutions for sustainable technology at ISH

Frascold will at the ISH trade fair taking place from March 13 to 17 in Frankfurt, continuing the company’s efforts to raise awareness about energy efficiency, climate change and decarbonisation.

Two sectors will be directly involved: the industrial sector focusing on the selection of the correct natural refrigerant to create sustainable applications, and the air conditioning and heating sector for research into innovation solutions to tackle the latest environmental challenges.

Ambitious goals with no immediate solution involving all sector-based professionals, who are working hard to design innovative technologies capable of fulfilling all the system and environmental demands, such as safety, simplicity and high performance.

Frascold, a long-standing advocate of these challenges, offers several ATEX-certified solutions, the result of in-depth research by the R&D team and presented at ISH 2023 on stand F55 - hall 8.0.

REDUCING ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION WHILE PRODUCING HEAT

In the energy and climate sector, Frascold markets a wide range of piston compressors that are fully ATEX-certified and designed for heat pumps geared towards the industrial and residential sectors. A complete range of semi-hermetic compressors designed for the development of systems featuring electrical power from 0.5 to 80 HP and flow rates from 4 to 240 m³/h. These compressors are designed to be used in cascades or by exploiting waste heat to feed the system, resulting in excellent energy efficiency parameters.

In both sectors, semi-hermetic technology proves to be the best choice for the design of chillers and heat pumps with a heating or cooling capacity of 50 to 200 kW which use propane as a refrigerant. For example, in the residential sector, this semi-hermetic technology plays an essential role in successfully meeting to the constant demand for medium- to low-temperature applications.

ECO-FRIENDLY REFRIGERATION TECHNOLOGY

For the industrial and process sectors, such as food and pharmaceuticals, Frascold presents the FVR series, a range of ATEX-certified, hydrocarbon-compatible screw compressors. This is a first for the design of applications in this sector, where the use of this compact screw compressor is a guarantee of the long-lasting reliability, safety and quality of the entire system.

For sustainable, small- to medium-sized systems, Frascold advocates the use of ammonia (NH₃) for both low- and high-temperature systems with the introduction of the new Aluminium Series. A range of semi-hermetic screw compressors housing an aluminium motor, that can be used with this refrigerant. A specific design focus means the compressors are ideal for the design of systems ranging from the industrial and process sector to air conditioning and industrial and transport refrigeration.
