GlobalABC and UNEP Launch COP30 Webinar Series on Buildings and Cooling

Five-part series to shape Pavilion agenda ahead of COP30 in Belém, Brazil.

The Global Alliance for Buildings and Construction (GlobalABC) and the UNEP Cool Coalition have announced a new five-part webinar series to support planning for the Buildings and Cooling Pavilion at COP30, scheduled for 10–21 November 2025 in Belém, Brazil. The Pavilion will focus on solutions for climate-aligned buildings, sustainable cooling, and resilient materials in the face of global warming.

The series, running from June to November 2025, is designed to engage sponsors, partners, and stakeholders directly in the development of the Pavilion’s content and structure. Each 40-minute session will provide planning updates and allow participants to contribute to programming and strategy.

Webinar Schedule and Focus

The series begins on 26 June 2025 with a session titled Launching the Road to Belém, which will present the Pavilion’s vision and outline sponsor engagement opportunities during the UNFCCC’s SB62 meetings. The second webinar, Sustainable Construction in Brazil (22 July), will highlight bio-based building materials and local innovation in the Amazon region, following the High-Level Political Forum 2025.

On 3 September, Designing the Pavilion Narrative will align partners around key themes, formats, and engagement strategies ahead of UNGA80. The fourth webinar on 9 October, From Ideas to Action, will finalize content, confirm contributions, and launch campaign coordination following the Global Cooling Watch 2025.

The final session, On the Ground in Belém, set for 3 November, will serve as a practical briefing for onsite logistics, speaker coordination, and Pavilion delivery.

“This webinar series is a key step in building a coordinated, solutions-focused presence at COP30,” said Martina Otto, Head of the UNEP Cool Coalition. “We invite all stakeholders to engage early and help shape the Pavilion’s impact.”

Further information and registration details will be shared on the official COP30 Buildings and Cooling Pavilion webpage.
