The Innovation Hub for Affordable Heating and Cooling (i-Hub) is holding the i-Hub Outcomes Summit online and in Sydney on Tuesday, May 17 from 12 noon–5pm.
i-Hub brings together leading universities, researchers, consultants, building owners, and equipment manufacturers to create a connected research and development community in Australia.
Taking place in conjunction with AIRAH’s Refrigeration Conference 2022, the summit will see i-Hub’s project leaders present the findings and discuss outcomes from each project. Attendees will hear about the successes, the pitfalls, and the next steps to facilitating the HVAC&R industry’s transition to a low-emissions future that will stimulate jobs growth and support HVAC&R innovation in buildings.
The objective of i-Hub is to support the broader HVAC&R industry with knowledge dissemination, skills-development, and capacity-building. It is doing this through three major initiatives: Living Laboratories, Integrated Design Studios, and a Smart Building Data Clearing House. By facilitating a collaborative approach to innovation, i-Hub brings together leading universities, researchers, consultants, building owners, and equipment manufacturers to create a connected research and development community in Australia.
The i-Hub initiative was proposed by AIRAH, CSIRO, the Queensland University of Technology, the University of Melbourne and the University of Wollongong. The project has received funding from ARENA as part of ARENA’s Advancing Renewables Program.
