IOR to Host Industry Webinar on F Gas Phasedown Reform Consultation

The Institute of Refrigeration (IOR) will host a free webinar on 18 November 2025 to discuss the UK Government’s consultation on proposed changes to the HFC phasedown under the GB F Gas Regulation. The consultation is expected to shape how the refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump (RACHP) sector manages refrigerants, adopts new technologies, and meets environmental targets.

The one-hour session will feature presentations from both government and industry representatives. Jacob Andresen from DEFRA will provide the policy background and outline the consultation’s alignment with broader UK climate goals, along with the next steps in the legislative process.

Ray Gluckman of Gluckman Consulting will review the main proposals in the DEFRA consultation, exploring potential impacts for the RACHP industry. He will address key considerations for businesses and the opportunities involved in transitioning to lower-GWP refrigerants.

The ACRIB Technical Committee will discuss how sector organisations are preparing responses to the consultation. This segment will highlight ACRIB’s engagement with government and industry to provide data on readiness and to support safety and training initiatives for alternative refrigerants.

The webinar will conclude with an open Q&A session for attendees. Registration is required, and all participants will receive a recording link after the event.
