Star Refrigeration is one of the main sponsors of the Cold Chain Live

Star Refrigeration is one of the main sponsors of a month-long online event organised by the Cold Chain Federation, the voice of the UK’s temperature-controlled logistics industry.

‘Cold Chain Live! Towards a Net Zero Cold Chain’ will feature live webinars, interviews and workshops running throughout next month. Starting on 2 October 2020, the virtual conference examines issues and innovations in the cold storage and distribution industry, including the what, how and when of net zero.

Each week of the four-week event is themed around a topical cold chain industry issue; Defining Net Zero, Adapting to Change, The Future of Transport and The Cold Chain Ecosystem. As well as being one of the main sponsors of ‘Cold Chain Live!’ experts from the Star team will be presenting webinars and leading discussion sessions during the conference.

Star Refrigeration Group Sales & Marketing Director Rob Lamb says: “We are excited to be working in partnership with the Cold Chain Federation for this unique online event. The Star team is looking forward to demonstrating how refrigeration technology is assisting the current drive towards a greener and more energy efficient cold chain.”

On the opening morning of the conference, Star’s Group Sales & Marketing Director Rob Lamb will discuss the ongoing drive to increase efficiency and reduce energy consumption in the cold chain. The live webinar will explore the latest technology and current trends in industrial refrigeration, including energy saving technology and waste heat recovery.

On 25 October, during the final week of the online event, John Clark from group company Star Data Analytics (SDA) will present during a live Innovation Zone session. The presentation will focus on SDA’s Ethos remote monitoring system, exploring how plant performance data can be collected and analysed to help in the energy saving drive towards net zero.

As well as presentations by thought-leaders in the industry, the online conference features pre-recorded interviews with cold chain specialists, live workshops and open discussion sessions. Cold Chain Live! is a free event for Cold Chain Federation members and invited guests.

Registering for any Cold Chain Live! webinar session gives attendees access to associated white papers and blog posts, with additional content available to download and watch on demand each week. For more information and to register, visit: https://www.coldchainfederation.org.uk/events/live/
