UNEP Supports Women in Cooling at Chillventa

The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is collaborating with other international organizations to promote opportunities for women in the refrigeration, air conditioning, and heat pump (RACHP) sector at Chillventa. Attendees can visit the International Network for Women in Cooling (INWIC) stand in Hall 9 during the event, which runs from October 8 to 10 in Nuremberg, Germany.

INWIC, a network founded with UNEP as a partner, will be among the over 900 exhibitors at this year’s Chillventa. INWIC Board members will engage with visitors and other exhibitors to discuss the network’s mentorship initiative, which aims to raise awareness and support the advancement of women within the RACHP sector. This initiative is designed to attract a new generation of specialists by highlighting the ways in which RACHP provides comfort and supports life-saving technologies while promoting new, environmentally friendly practices.

Visitors are encouraged to stop by Stand 9-125 in Hall 9 to learn more about joining INWIC and participating in its events. INWIC focuses on promoting best practices that ensure the provision of essential cooling services without compromising the environment.

Chillventa 2024 will also feature a comprehensive supporting program, presenting research on new techniques and the successful adoption of advanced technologies. Attendees from around the world will have the opportunity to meet experts in the field, as well as explore the latest products and solutions presented by exhibitors. Topics covered will include applications, training, and codes of practice.

In addition to these exhibits, the fair will offer a forum titled "A PRACTICAL GUIDE TO DIGITISATION", providing valuable advice for skilled trade businesses. Further aligning with INWIC’s goals, Chillventa will introduce “reverse recruiting,” an innovative approach allowing companies to advertise vacancies for skilled personnel directly at the event.
