About the company
Frigocon- Indústria de Frio e Congelação, S.A., is the company responsible for the FRICON brand in Portugal, founded in 1976, in Vila do Conde, by its great promoter Artur Martins Azevedo. This is a pioneer organization in the Portuguese market, focused on the design, development, production and sale of refrigeration and conservation equipment, essentially for large surfaces in the food industry, with the supermarket segment being its core business.
In 1995, a new production unit was launched, representing the brand in Brazil, Mercofricon S.A. and, in 2013, a delegation located in Spain is launched, thus contributing to the development and expansion of the FRICON brand throughout the world.
Sustained growth based on a solid organizational culture, through effective investment planning and a strategy based on process flexibility, has allowed the FRICON group to become the top of the market, nationally and internationally.
