EPEE and EVIA invite inaugural conference
“EUREKA 2016: Heating, Cooling & Ventilation: Sustainable technologies for a better life”.

This unique event will showcase the heating, cooling and ventilation industry’s impact on the European Union’s energy goals and demonstrate the potential, attractiveness and innovative nature of our industry, and provide an excellent platform for networking.
The themes
The panel and break-out sessions will focus on the cold chain and buildings through the following themes:
- Refrigerants: The impact of the new F-Gas rules in Europe and beyond
- Indoor Air Quality: Increasing political awareness on indoor air quality & thermal comfort
- Food waste: The role of refrigeration in reducing food waste
- Buildings: Driving energy efficiency in buildings
One of the highlights of the calendar year, EUREKA 2016 will assemble representatives from industry, users, and the academic community, including students, to discuss with European policymakers the challenges and opportunities our industry faces in this rapidly changing global context.
The opening Plenary Session, featuring a keynote speech by a distinguished guest, will be followed by 4 break-out panel sessions on the following topics:
- The role of refrigeration in reducing food waste
- Increasing political awareness on indoor air quality & thermal comfort
- The impact of the new F-Gas rules in Europe and beyond
- Driving energy efficiency in buildings
The conference has already attracted many engaging speakers: the European Commission, AREA (contractors’ association), REHVA (Federation of European Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Associations), EHPA (heat pumps), IIR (International Institute of Refrigeration), the Aachen Technical University, Deloitte, Delhaize, and many more.
EUREKA 2016 is jointly organised by EPEE and EVIA , who have pooled their resources and network to work together and ensure the event can attract the broadest spectrum of participants and speakers.
