A-Gas Expands into Canada

A‑Gas to announce expansion into Canada.

A‑Gas supplies refrigerants, clean agent fire suppression and performance chemical blowing agents.

Managing Director, Louise McCann, has been with A‑Gas for 14 years and has Managed other regions of the A‑Gas business, most recently, Asia Pacific. When asked about the Canada expansion Louise said. “A-Gas recognises Canada as a country where we can leverage our skills and expertise from around the globe to develop innovative and sustainable market solutions.It is our intention to become a large-scale, long term market participant and we are committed to furthering our investment directly in Canada to enable this. A-Gas already has some strong relationships within Canada, having participated in the reclaim R22 market for several years.

A native of Canada and Past Chairman of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute, (HRAI), Jim Flowers, the new Business Director of A-Gas Canada, is no stranger to the Canadian refrigerant industry. Most recently, Jim was the Manager of Market Development for Packaged Chemicals and Refrigerants for Linde Canada.When asked about the opportunity of launching A-Gas Canada Jim replied “The recent implementation of the HFC allowance system in Canada will bring new challenges and opportunities in the Canadian market for real change, I am excited about the opportunity with A-GAS to make instrumental changes to support this developing market”.
