New IOR Publication: Pressure Switches and the Pressure Equipment Directive (GN32)

Notified bodies assess refrigeration systems against the requirements of the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU (PED); safety accessories always need to be checked. This includes safety switches that either activate the means for correction or provide for plant shutdown. However, not all models of switches meet the Directive's requirements for safety accessories as they are only adequate for use as control switches.

This technical guidance note considers ways you can ensure you have fitted the appropriate switch to a refrigeration system.
