Schmitz Cargobull Appoints Dr. Cafer Ince as New Head of Digital Services

Effective January 1, 2025, Dr. Cafer Ince is now leading Schmitz Cargobull's Product Line Digital Services. In his new role, Dr. Ince will oversee operations at Cargobull Telematics GmbH and KUBIKx, following the departure of Nikolaos Keramopoulos. Joining Schmitz Cargobull in January 2024, Dr. Ince initially served as Head of E/E Systems. His reporting line remains with Chief Technical Officer, Marnix Lannoije.

Lannoije praises Dr. Ince’s expertise in electronics and digital systems, expressing confidence in his ability to advance the company’s digital offerings and industry leadership. Dr. Ince is eager to contribute to Schmitz Cargobull’s digital strategy and goals, backed by a dedicated team.

Dr. Ince's career began at Robert Bosch GmbH in 2005, and he has since gained international experience in multiple countries. He was previously Vice President for the Business Chief Digital Office Mobility Solutions. He holds a PhD in Business Management from Bamberg University.

Following this leadership change, Birger Queckenstedt will take on sole responsibility for the E/E Systems Engineering department. Dr. Ince balances his career with family life, travel, sports, and cooking.
