Tecumseh Appoints João Ernesto Schreiner as Chief Technology Officer

Tecumseh Products Company LLC has announced the appointment of João Ernesto Schreiner as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO), effective February 3, 2025. Schreiner will lead the company’s innovation strategy, focusing on enhancing product performance, promoting efficiency, and driving sustainable technology development.

With a solid background in engineering and product development, Schreiner brings extensive experience in the refrigeration industry. His career includes leadership roles at well-known companies such as Secop, Danfoss, Nidec, and Embraco. Most recently, he served as global R&D and PMO leader at Jeld-Wen.

In his new role at Tecumseh, Schreiner will concentrate on fostering a high-performance engineering culture while optimizing the company's product portfolio. "His experience will be instrumental in defining the innovation strategy, strengthening the engineering culture, and ensuring that Tecumseh continues its legacy of developing excellent and quality products," the company stated.

Schreiner holds a master’s degree in Thermal Sciences and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil. His academic and professional background equips him to help Tecumseh deliver even greater value to its customers by advancing product innovation and sustainability efforts.

Tecumseh is known for its expertise in commercial refrigeration and air conditioning technologies. Schreiner’s leadership is expected to further reinforce the company’s commitment to developing reliable, efficient, and sustainable solutions for the industry.
