Walter Roller expands production capacity for air coolers

The continuing high demand for high-quality heat exchangers and air coolers has prompted Walter Roller GmbH to invest further in production capacity. The step had become necessary in order to be able to serve the short delivery times for commercial air coolers requested by wholesalers and customers in a correspondingly fast manner.

By expanding the production area by 800 square metres, three additional assembly lines for the compact evaporator series DLK, HVS and FKN were put into operation to increase the production capacity. This means that a delivery time of a maximum of 3 weeks ex work for non-stock evaporators can be guaranteed in the long term.
In addition to this expansion, further investments were made in the machinery. Roller has always been able to carry out all the sheet metal processing for the manufacture of heat exchangers, air coolers and air conditioning units itself. The range of this customised heat exchanger construction demands flexible and fast sheet metal processing. In order to meet the continuing high demand for individually designed heat exchangers, it was necessary to invest in another state-of-the-art punching machine.

"With the plant expansion in Gerlingen, we want to further ensure our ability to react and create capacities for further growth in customised heat exchanger production. The investments are thus an important component for the long-term development of Roller," explains Joachim Reule, Managing Partner of Walter Roller GmbH & Co, and Managing Director Wolfgang Krenn adds: "In the current challenging economic environment, this is a further commitment to the region and to Germany as a business location".
