New Stepper Coldroom Panel With Internal Power Store From RDM

A new Stepper option with Internal Power Store is now available for the Coldroom Panel range from RDM. The new PR0150-SSBIP hardware variants, come with a built-in Internal Power Store so that in the event of a power failure, it will provide power to a Stepper Coldroom Panel enabling it to fully close the stepper valve.

Designed to operate low, medium, and high-temperature cold rooms via the control of a motorised Stepper Expansion Valve, the Stepper Coldroom Panel is based on technology currently found within the PR0150 Coldroom control panel range, with the addition of hardware and software to facilitate the control of a Stepper Expansion Valve, including the Parker SER AA to D range.

The new option follows the launch of the Stepper Coldroom Panel in 2018 when support was added for Mechanical Solenoid Valves (LLV), Compressors, PWM Electronic Expansion Valves (EEV) and Stepper EEV Valves. The new hardware variant boasts additional features, when compared to the existing PR0150 range, of a direct pressure transducer connection and built-in Power Store.

Optionally integrated networking options allow users to connect a Stepper Coldroom Controller directly to a network without the need for an additional interface module. Integrated connectivity options include Ethernet IP or RS485 (Genus protocol).

Product Benefits at a Glance

  • Stepper motor output for accurate temperature control.
  • Direct pressure transducer connection (4-20mA or 0-10vdc).
  • Built-in power store for protection during power losses.
  • Compatible with a wide range of industry valves.
