NH3 ceiling-mounted evaporator for low charge from thermofin

On this year’s Chillventa, thermofin have presented novel industrial ceiling-mounted evaporator with NH3 dry expansion. The use of aluminum tubes ensures, compared to stainless steel, a considerably higher heat conductivity and with it an optimized evaporating process.
The use of the self-developed thermofin distributor ensures the equal load of the refrigerant on all circuits. The defrosting of the evaporator is effected with a separate warm glycol or CO2 circuit. To control the superheating, we use a NH3 refrigerant sensor for the detection of gas quality.
