Great success for the second edition of REFRIGERA 2021

Great success for the second edition of REFRIGERA 2021, the international fair dedicated to the industrial, commercial and logistics refrigeration chain.
8600 attendees, 9 main conferences, 100 speakers, 30 hours of training sessions, 150 national and international exhibitors, and over 250 brands present: the second edition of REFRIGERA - the only international event held in Italy, and today a benchmark for Southern Europe - for the industrial, commercial and logistics refrigeration chain, has been hailed a great success by both exhibitors and visitors.
Bologna (Italy), November 6, 2021 - REFRIGERA, the B2B fair which brought together companies, professionals, operators and specialists from the entire industrial, commercial and logistics refrigeration industry for three days, (Wednesday 3 to Friday 5 November) at Bologna Exhibition Centre closed on a high note.
The first sector event in Europe to return to live attendance after the long break due to the pandemic, REFRIGERA has met with great success. Having 20% higher participation than the 2019 edition is a strong sign that the refrigeration industry is ready to restart, to face the new challenges posed by the ongoing expansion of the market and the move to environmental sustainability.
"An outcome beyond expectations, demonstrating not only the general interest of companies for the resumption of exhibitions - a unique event for doing business, networking, getting to know the latest market trends and testing the latest technological innovations in person - but also the importance and the relevance of the topics dealt with, and the skills shared at the trade show” said Angelo Altamura, director of A151 Srl, and event organizer.
One of the main themes that emerged over the 3 days of conferences, workshops and training sessions was how the efficient management of thermal energy is fundamental for the future of every country, and consequently how the profession of refrigeration engineer is becoming increasingly central in the move to eco-friendly solutions, given that cold is an essential element of many supply chains.
REFRIGERA has been confirmed as a benchmark for Italy and Europe for the entire refrigeration supply chain, while Bologna has proved to be a city capable of handling the project and the potential internationalisation of the event, meaning that Bologna Exhibition Centre has already been chosen as the location for the next edition, scheduled for 2023.
We thank all the companies that participated as exhibitors, the speakers of the dozens of conference sessions and training sessions, the professionals of the sector who, by visiting the event, have given new life to the meaning of trade shows: meeting in person, creating relationships and sharing.
Thanks also go to the REFRIGERA partners, for their invaluable contribution to this second edition: ASSOFRIGORISTI Italian Refrigerators Association, ATF - Associazione Tecnici del Freddo, Centro Studi Galileo, AREA, ASERCOM - Association of European Refrigeration Component Manufacturers, OITAf - Interdisciplinary Observatory for Food and Drug Transport.
The next edition of REFRIGERA will be from 7 - 9 November 2023.
