Panasonic Focusses on Air Quality and Intelligent Control at Chillventa eSpecial 2020

The physical Chillventa exhibition was due to take place in October 2020, however the impact of the current global situation has led to the show becoming virtual this year, taking place online 13–15 October. As in past shows, Panasonic Heating & Cooling Solutions is still presenting its new product innovations as usual.

Bluetooth and nanoe X for PACi NX

The proven Panasonic PACi series is a cost-effective single-split air conditioning system, particularly suitable for cooling larger commercial premises such as restaurants. The system incorporates the new Adaptive Ducted unit, which is not only lighter and smaller in size, but can also be installed horizontally as well as vertically for increased flexibility.

The PACi NX air conditioning system is already equipped with Panasonic’s CONEX intelligent controller and the new IoT remote controller which offers next generation solutions total control with various controllers and apps for ease of use. Thanks to CONEX, detailed operation, maintenance setting and service operation are all available to users through a smartphone or tablet. Furthermore, the system’s ability to connect to Bluetooth allows installers and service technicians to access indoor and outdoor devices with their smartphones and Panasonic control and diagnostic apps. The devices can also be integrated into the Panasonic Comfort Cloud via WLAN, allowing the end user to control their system via the Internet.

nanoe X technology with the benefits of hydroxyl radicals

All PACi NX generation indoor units are now equipped with nanoe X technology as standard. The advanced technology is based on a natural process with hydroxyl radicals (OH), which are abundant in nature. The new, maintenance-free nanoe X Generator Mark 2, made from titanium, generates 9.6 trillion hydroxyl radicals per second and distributes them evenly throughout the room. Hydroxyl radicals have been shown to inhibit certain viruses, bacteria, allergens, and odours both in the air and on surfaces. Thanks to their small size, nanoe X particles can even penetrate deep into upholstery and fabric. nanoe X is already available with a variety of Panasonic indoor devices and will be continually integrated into more systems.

ECOi Mini VRF system now with R32

The new Mini ECOi LZ2 R32 VRF system is the ideal solution to fit into any application thanks to its compact design. The unit has a capacity range of 12-25 kW and uses the environmentally friendly refrigerant R32, which allows the devices to operate with less refrigerant and work with SEERs of up to 8.5. For greater safety, an R32 detector is available for all indoor devices.

The Mini ECOi units can also be controlled with Panasonic’s innovative CONEX controllers.

ECOi-W set for cooling

The ECOi-W series is expanding to include a range of chiller cooling applications with significantly optimised seasonal energy efficiency values. By focusing on cooling, Panasonic engineers can further improve the performance values in cooling operation. The series allows individual cold water sets with a wide range of options to suit the customer’s building requirements. Furthermore, the units offer low sound emissions and a standard operating range of +50°C, as well as bluefin coating of the heat exchanger and flow temperatures from -10°C to +18°C.

CO2 condensing units with 7.5 kW cooling capacity

Panasonic is expanding its range of condensing units that work with the environmentally friendly refrigerant CO2. The range welcomes a medium sized unit with a 7.5kW cooling capacity alongside the existing large 16kW and the smaller 4kW devices. Like its larger counterpart, this device also has a heat recovery function. Panasonic's CO2 condensing units have been developed specifically for smaller refrigeration and frozen applications, thanks to the well-thought-out plug-and-play concept, Panasonic devices can be easily installed, to provide refrigeration points in restaurants, gas stations and food markets using the natural refrigerant CO2.
