Schmitz Cargobull delivers 1,000th refrigerated trailer to Germany’s NORDFROST

In January 2026, Schmitz Cargobull delivered its 1,000th S.KO COOL refrigerated trailer to NORDFROST GmbH & Co. KG. The milestone handover took place at NORDFROST’s Schneiderkrug site, marking both the logistics provider’s 50th anniversary and over 30 years of partnership between the two companies.

Schmitz Cargobull first supplied vehicles to NORDFROST in the mid-1990s. Today, NORDFROST operates 40 sites across Germany and leads the country’s frozen food logistics sector. The company’s trailer fleet includes units with double-evaporator refrigeration systems, enabling two temperature zones per vehicle to meet the varying needs of its food industry clients.

“Schmitz Cargobull fulfils our high demands on quality and flexibility – two crucial aspects for our customers from the food industry, wholesale and retail, import and export,” said Britta Bartels, owner of NORDFROST.

According to Frank Reppenhagen, Director for Western Europe at Schmitz Cargobull, “Every S.KO COOL refrigerated lorry is a building block for smooth refrigerated transport. The handover of the 1,000th refrigerated trailer to NORDFROST is a strong signal.”
