Wieland acquires Small Tube Products

Wieland, a leading global supplier of semi-finished copper and copper alloy products, is pleased to announce its acquisition of Small Tube Products. Based in Duncansville, Pennsylvania, the company is a principal producer of small-diameter and thin-wall specialty tubing made of copper, copper alloys and aluminum. Founded in 1947, they have the largest and most diverse precision redraw tube mill in North America, serving customers in the automotive, electrical, transportation, heat transfer, welding, and consumer product industries.

“The addition of Small Tube Products to the Wieland Group enables us to further expand our product portfolio and manufacturing capabilities while delivering enhanced value to our growing customer base. This acquisition marks another milestone in the expansion of our market presence in North America,” stated Dr. Erwin Mayr, CEO of the Wieland Group.

Following this transaction, Small Tube Products will become part of the business unit Thermal Solutions and continue its operations under the Wieland brand. “We are the global market leader in providing high-performance tubes for refrigeration and air-conditioning technology for an energy-efficient future. The combination of our teams’ seasoned experience and distinctive capabilities will allow us to continue setting new industry standards, creating a lasting impact on the markets we serve,” said Ivan Di Stefano, President Business Unit Wieland Thermal Solutions.

The transaction officially closed on July 31, 2023.
