These terms govern your use of refindustry.com and the services provided on it. The website is operated by Business Marketing OÜ, Estonia. By using the website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the website.
1. What we provide
Refindustry is an international B2B information platform for the refrigeration and HVAC-R industry. We publish industry news, articles, event listings and a directory of companies, and we offer commercial services such as partner packages, advertising and sponsored content.
Access to published content is free. Some features, such as managing a company profile, require a user account.
2. User accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide when registering and for keeping your login details confidential. You are responsible for activity carried out under your account.
We may suspend or close an account that is used in breach of these terms, that contains false information, or that is used to publish unlawful or misleading content.
You may close your account at any time by writing to info@refindustry.com.
3. Content you submit
You may submit company profiles, press releases, articles, event details and images.
You confirm that you have the right to publish what you submit, that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights, and that it is accurate and not misleading.
By submitting content you grant us a non exclusive, worldwide licence to publish, adapt, translate and distribute it on Refindustry and in our newsletters, magazine and social media channels, in connection with the operation and promotion of the platform. You keep ownership of your content.
All submissions are moderated before publication. We may decline, edit or remove content at our discretion, in particular where it is inaccurate, unlawful, outside our editorial scope, or purely promotional.
4. Company profiles
A company profile may be created and managed by an authorised representative of that company. You confirm that you are authorised to act for the company you list.
Free listings and paid partner packages are subject to moderation. We may remove a profile that is inaccurate, abandoned or used in breach of these terms.
Contact details published in a company profile are made available so that industry professionals can contact that company. They may not be collected, extracted or reused for unsolicited bulk marketing.
5. Our content, and how you may use it
Unless stated otherwise, the content of this website, including text, layout, graphics and the Refindustry name and logo, belongs to Business Marketing OÜ or its licensors. Content submitted by users, partners and press offices belongs to them.
We want our work to be read and shared, so the rules below are deliberately practical.
You may do this without asking us
Link to any page on Refindustry, freely and without permission.
Quote a short extract, up to about 100 words, in your own article, newsletter or presentation, provided you name Refindustry as the source and include a working link to the specific article you quoted.
Share our posts and articles on social media.
How to credit us
Name the source as Refindustry.com and link to the exact article, not to the homepage. Place the credit next to the quoted material. The link must be a normal, followable link.
This needs our written permission
Republishing an article in full or in substantial part, on any website, in any newsletter, or in print.
Translating our material into another language for publication.
Republishing our material systematically or on a regular basis, even with a credit and a link.
Including our content in a paid product, a commercial newsletter, or a content aggregation or syndication service.
For any of these, write to info@refindustry.com. We license reprints and translations, and we usually say yes.
Images
Photographs, drawings and diagrams published on Refindustry are often supplied by manufacturers, press offices and event organisers, and they remain the property of those rights holders. Permission to quote our text does not include the right to reuse images. Clear image rights with the rights holder before reusing them.
Refrigeration Industry Magazine
Our digital magazine and its special editions are free to download and free to forward in their entirety and in unmodified form. You may not re-host the files on another website, place them behind registration or payment, sell them, or extract and republish parts of them as your own material.
Text and data mining, and AI training
Business Marketing OÜ expressly reserves all rights in the content of this website for the purposes of text and data mining, machine learning and the training or fine tuning of artificial intelligence models, including under Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790. Automated extraction of our content for these purposes is not permitted without a written licence. Enquiries: info@refindustry.com.
Companies we have written about
If we have published news about your company, you are welcome to mention it and to link to the published article, for example on your website or in your own newsletter. Please do not present that coverage as an endorsement, a recommendation or a sponsorship by Refindustry, and please do not reproduce the full article without permission as set out above.
If these rules are not followed
We may ask for the material to be removed or corrected, and we may withdraw permission to reuse our content.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use the website in a way that damages it or disrupts access for others, does not comply with applicable law, attempts to gain unauthorised access to any part of it, or involves automated harvesting of content or contact data.
7. Commercial services
Advertising, partner packages, sponsored content, special editions and webinars are provided under separate commercial terms agreed in each case, including scope, dates and price. These Terms of Service apply in addition to those agreements.
Commercial content is always identifiable as such and does not affect our editorial decisions.
8. Third party links
The website contains links to third party websites, including the websites of listed companies and advertisers. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their handling of your data.
9. Availability and accuracy
We work to keep the website available and its content accurate, but we provide the website as it is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we do not guarantee that all published information, including information supplied by companies, is complete or up to date.
Nothing on this website is technical, legal, safety or commercial advice for a specific situation. Refrigeration work must follow applicable standards, manufacturer instructions and local regulation.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Business Marketing OÜ is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the website, including lost profit or lost business opportunities. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Privacy
Personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The updated version is published on this page with a new date. Continued use of the website after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Estonia. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Estonian courts, without affecting mandatory consumer protection rules that may apply where you live.
