ASHRAE Opens Abstracts for 2027 Annual Conference in New Orleans

ASHRAE announced the opening of abstract submissions for conference papers for its 2027 Annual Conference, scheduled for June 12–16, 2027, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Authors can submit work across eight tracks covering HVAC&R engineering, refrigeration, building decarbonization, indoor environmental quality, research and building operations.

The Refrigeration and Refrigerants track covers refrigeration systems and refrigerant applications for industrial, commercial and specialty uses. Topics include system performance, environmental impacts, refrigerant management and emerging technologies. A separate HVAC&R Systems and Equipment track focuses on system and equipment development, application, operation, reliability, maintainability, cost effectiveness and energy efficiency.

Other tracks include Fundamentals and Applications, Research Summit, Building Decarbonization, Indoor Environmental Quality for Healthy Buildings, and Owners and Operators. The Research Summit accepts conference papers as well as seminars, forums, panel discussions and ASHRAE-sponsored research, with links to the association’s archival journal, Science and Technology for the Built Environment.

The conference also includes Mini-Tracks consisting of six to eight focused sessions on emerging or specialized topics that may not fit within an existing track. Individual sessions are submitted through the most appropriate main conference track, while authors interested in organizing a Mini-Track can submit their contact information to ASHRAE for follow-up.

Authors whose abstracts are accepted will be invited to submit a full eight-page conference paper by February 17, 2027. Accepted papers will be included in the conference program and proceedings and may also be considered for publication in Science and Technology for the Built Environment.
