Carrier Transicold France Now Offering Leasing Solutions for eCool Electric Batteries

Carrier Transicold France Now Offering Leasing Solutions for eCool Electric Batteries

Carrier Transicold France is now offering customers a leasing solution for the acquisition of electric batteries for the Vector eCool electric refrigeration system.

Launched in 2020, the Vector eCool uses an energy recovery and storage system to convert kinetic energy generated by the trailer axle and brakes into electricity, which is then stored in the eCool electric battery pack that powers the refrigeration unit. This creates an autonomous loop that produces no direct carbon dioxide (CO2) or particulate emissions. A wide range of businesses have adopted the eCool solution to help reduce their carbon footprint.

For customers investing in the Vector eCool, the new leasing solution is available through an agreement with a financing company and enables customers to acquire the equipment quickly. Carrier Transicold offers the full service, including the financial administration of the lease.

“In the age of the ‘use economy,’ companies are no longer looking to acquire goods, but to maximize their benefits,” said Sonia Arnaud, Key Account Sales Engineer at LOCAM, a Crédit Agricole subsidiary offering leasing and payment solutions to businesses. “Our collaboration with Carrier Transicold opens new growth by offering its customers the opportunity to integrate financing solutions into their sales model.”

“Leasing is the latest addition to a 360-degree solution with BlueEdge contracts and Lynx Fleet telematics, enabling customers to control their total cost of ownership over the entire ownership period,” said Maxime Becq, Solutions Sales Manager at Carrier Transicold France. “We are happy to offer a new way for our customers to procure the innovative eCool system, helping to decarbonize their fleets and meet the requirements of the energy transition.”

In addition to leasing solutions, Carrier Transicold also offers an electrification module in the Lynx Fleet platform to aid eCool customers in the transition to electric transport refrigeration. The dashboard provides insights into the eCool battery’s state of charge and other telematics.

Case Study – Effect of Louvers or diffusers on air flow distribution and cooling time on a meat log during Chill cycle

By Kushal Aurangabadkar An experimental analysis was conducted on a cooler space measuring 3.66 m × 6.096 m (12.0 ft × 20.0 ft), equipped with an ammonia refrigeration coil, five 30 cm (12 in.) fans, and five diffusers. The study measured airflow patterns, cooling rates, and heat transfer efficiency in meat storage by testing two configurations:

Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for Modular Refrigeration Systems in Life Sciences Distribution Centers

by Ramez Naguib, P.E. Introduction Life sciences distribution centers are under immense pressure to deliver consistent temperature control, comply with increasingly stringent regulations, and optimize operational efficiency. Traditional built-up refrigeration systems often prove cumbersome, costly, and slow to implement. In contrast, modular, factory-assembled refrigeration systems have emerged as a compelling alternative. Drawing on lessons from
