Ed Meyer To Lead Pelican Biothermal’s Global Sales Organization

Pelican BioThermal announces the appointment of Ed Meyer, general manager for Canada sales and operations of parent company Pelican Products, Inc., to the global sales leadership role for the BioThermal division. Meyer will officially assume responsibility for Pelican BioThermal’s sales team at the end of 2019 when longtime Pelican BioThermal vice president of worldwide sales Kevin Lawler retires.

“We welcome Ed Meyer to our management team as he takes up leadership of our sales organization and continues our successful growth in the life sciences temperature-controlled packaging and solutions market,” said David Williams, president of Pelican BioThermal. “I expect Ed to build on his success of growing revenue by 70% during his 11 years of leading Pelican Canada.”

Prior to joining Pelican Canada, Meyer was a successful sales executive, sales manager and general manager with experience accelerating growth in both the telecommunications and industrial/safety distribution markets. He is a devotee of the consultative selling approach used by Pelican BioThermal, making him an ideal fit to lead the Pelican BioThermal sales organization into the future.

“I whole-heartedly believe in the necessity of a sound, diagnostic, value-based approach to business development where our process positions our sales professionals with respect and credibility — while being valued contributors to our customers’ success,” said Meyer. “This is something that we’ve built at Pelican Canada and I know that it is fundamental to the Pelican BioThermal team.”

“Pelican BioThermal’s global scope, strategic growth opportunity and market leadership position make taking the helm of the global sales organization especially exciting”, said Meyer. Throughout his career, Meyer’s most important accomplishments and proudest moments are based on the achievement of others — building, developing and supporting teams where the individuals reach and exceed their personal goals.
