CoolSys, a leader in sustainable refrigeration, HVAC, energy, and engineering solutions, has acquired Mechanical Engineering & Construction Corporation (MEC2), a full-service mechanical engineering firm based in Maryland and Virginia. This acquisition enhances CoolSys’ commercial and industrial capabilities and strengthens its presence in the mid-Atlantic region.

Founded in 2003, MEC2 offers comprehensive services including commercial mechanical engineering, mechanical construction, start-up and commissioning work, HVAC service and maintenance, and building information modeling (BIM) coordination. Serving the greater District of Columbia, Northern Virginia, and Maryland areas, MEC2 operates from main offices in Catonsville, Maryland, and Ashburn, Virginia, with a centralized delivery facility.
